Student housing conditions at the University of Milano-Bicocca: New dataset in DASSI

Student housing is increasingly central to the public debate, yet large-scale data are still scarce. A dataset on the housing conditions, needs and preferences of students at the University of Milano-Bicocca is available in DASSI. It is based on the responses of 21,072 students.
Data were collected through a self-administered online questionnaire (CAWI) at enrolment or registration for years after the first, for the 2024/2025 academic year. The questionnaire covers study path, current housing conditions (residence and mobility, tenure type and cohabitation, housing trajectory, costs and perceived quality), housing preferences and knowledge of student housing support tools. Responses are linked to university registry data: socio-demographic information, employment status, ISEE, degree programme, credits earned and grade point average.
