DASSI Archive Achieves CoreTrustSeal Certification as a Trustworthy Data Repository

Posted on 22/10/2026

DASSI Archive has been awarded the CoreTrustSeal certification, officially recognising it as a Trustworthy Data Repository. The certification is valid until 9 July 2029 and represents an important milestone in DASSI’s commitment to ensuring the quality, reliability and long-term preservation of research data.

CoreTrustSeal is an international, community-based, non-governmental and non-profit organisation that promotes sustainable and trustworthy data infrastructures. Its certification provides international recognition to repositories that demonstrate their ability to manage and preserve research data in accordance with established standards of quality, transparency and reliability.

To obtain the certification, repositories must meet 16 requirements covering three main areas: organisational infrastructure, digital object management, and information technology and security. These requirements assess the organisational framework, data management practices and technological measures necessary to ensure that research data remain accessible, secure and usable over time.

With this achievement, DASSI Archive joins the community of internationally recognised Trustworthy Data Repositories, strengthening its role in supporting reliable research data management and contributing to the development of sustainable research infrastructures.
