The report summaries from the “CESSDA ERIC 50 Conference”, held in Bergen, Norway, from 15 to 18 June, are now available. Explore the materials.

The four-day conference celebrated the consortium’s 50th anniversary and brought together over 200 community members from around the world, who actively participated in discussions on a wide range of topics, from the European Research Area to the application of artificial intelligence in social science research.

DASSI staff actively participated throughout the conference.

The workshops dedicated to Service Providers provided a valuable opportunity for professional development and exchange with other archives within the European network. In particular, Professor Sonia Stefanizzi (University of Milano-Bicocca), DASSI’s National Coordinator, took part in the public session “Re-imagine Research: Evolving with Society and Data”, held on the fourth day of the conference. The session explored the long-term evolution of research infrastructures, reflecting on how data may develop in the near future in response to societal changes and the key challenges facing data ecosystems.

At the conclusion of the conference, the CESSDA General Assembly also met to discuss the consortium’s current situation and future direction. Mario Paolucci (CNR – IRPPS) attended on behalf of DASSI as the Italian representative.
