Training

DASSI promotes and coordinates specialized training programs aimed at supporting the development of methodological, technical, and regulatory skills within the social sciences research community, in line with national and European strategies on research infrastructures, data management, and Open Science.

In this context, training represents a key tool to foster the adoption of shared practices, interoperable standards, and a conscious and responsible use of infrastructure services.

The course “Data Management and Open Practices for Research in Research Infrastructures”, the first official training event promoted by DASSI, marks the beginning of a structured program of initiatives dedicated to Research Data Management and the integration of FAIR principles into social sciences research activities. The event is intended as a foundational moment in a continuous capacity-building process, aimed at aligning CNR research practices with the standards, policies, and services of national and European research infrastructures, with particular reference to DASSI and CESSDA.

The course, scheduled for 23/24 February 2026, is addressed to researchers and technologists of the CNR Department of Humanities and Social Sciences and Cultural Heritage. Through an online program divided into four thematic modules and interactive sessions, the course will provide an updated overview of European Open Science policies, ethical and legal data management, and tools and services offered by national and European research infrastructures. The approach will focus on the practical application of knowledge, encouraging the exchange of experiences and the creation of a network among researchers active in the field.
